WELCOME
Our Society was
incorporated in 1970 with 80 founding members under the Ontario
Horticultural Association (OHA). Our Society maintains three
city parks in Kanata - Tom
Thomson Park (Beaverbrook), a small
garden at the Hazeldean Library (Glen Cairn) and
Old March Town
Hall Park & Molly Wilson Memorial Garden.
ABOUT
The KMHS offers
a program that includes regular monthly meetings (July & August
excepted) with special speakers, photography competitions,
flower shows, events
(i.e. bus tours), and our Annual Christmas
Pot Luck Supper.
Our Society offers the following benefits to its members:
▪ Education about horticulture through meetings, publications,
workshops & seminars
▪ Beautification of home and community
▪ Environmental preservation and restoration
▪ Promotion of quality of life through horticulture
▪ Support of the provincial Master Gardener program
▪ Promoting accessible gardening and gardening therapy
