Welcome to the Kanata-March Horticultural Society Website. This Society (KMHS) was founded on March 5, 1970 with approximately 80 members under the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA). One of their first projects was to create the Tom Thomson Park located on Teron Road. In 1973 KMHS won Honorable Mention for Tom Thompson Park in the OHA’s “Beautify your Community” contest. The planting and care of the beds is still undertaken by KMHS.   (Click Here for a 2006 view). Over the years, members have organized and participated in plant sales, garden tours, monthly meetings with special speakers, photography competitions, flower shows, bus tours, and our annual Christmas pot luck supper.
